Hello! My name is Kerry and I am the creator & owner of The Adornment Lab. I live in small town on the border of Manchester & Cheshire in England with the beautiful Werneth Low Country Park just a stone throw away. I am married and have 3 children and also a little black bunny named Buddy.
When it comes to my small business I wear all the hats from designing and manufacturing products to marketing to shipping and everything else that's in between. I use the term WE a lot as at times some of my family step in to help.
I have a huge passion for designing and creating aesthetic products and anything to do with weddings which is what my business is all based on. I use to be a wedding planner and have worked within the wedding industry for many years.
My favourite thing to do (apart from work on my business) is to ride roller coasters. Alton Towers and Blackpool Pleasure Beach are my regular places to visit.
Dolphins are my favourite animal with rabbits being a close 2nd and I love Ibiza and Orlando Florida.
So as you can see, I am a very creative person with a sense of adventure and lover of all things aesthetic and/or cute and this will all show through in the products I design and create.
What we do
In a nutshell...I design/create products to dress up your wedding, your home, your office space and even yourself. Things always look complete when the finishing touches are added.
I love to experiment with different products, tools and materials to create unique adornments which is where the business name came from 'The Adornment Lab'.
I have separated my catalogue into departments...
Weddings
Home Decor
Drinkware
Accessories
Stationery & Greeting Cards
Apparel
In each department you will have an ever growing list of products that have all been designed/created by myself.
Our products will be released according to seasons or as themed collections. This way I can cover as many different styles and colour palettes as possible. Our products also vary from affordable to high-end. This means there will be something for every taste and budget.
How we started
It all began back in 2007 when I was working full time but had a side hustle making wedding invitations and small wedding decor items.
My passion for weddings really began to grow and so I took the plunge and went full time with my business and trained to become a wedding planner and venue dresser.
I continued to do my handmade products alongside my wedding planning and venue dressing services but then started to expand beyond weddings and began delving into home decor, jewellery and accessories, stationery and greetings cards.
Unfortunately, due to health reasons I no longer offer wedding planning or venue dressing services, but I am now focusing on expanding my product base and this is the stage where I am at now.
As of 2025 I now have deleted my old website and started this brand new one, and I am solely concentrating on developing new products within all my newly created departments.
If you want to know what plans I have for the future (which are HUGE) then read the 'Where we are heading' section on this page which also tells you ways you can follow along with my journey whether you are a customer, another fellow creative business or both!
Where we are heading
So, what plans do I have for The Adornment Lab? The simple answer to that is MANY.
The main focus is building my new catalogue of products and I also want to bring them out from behind the website and into wedding fayres, craft markets and any events we see fit.
I also want to reach out to not only new and existing customers, but also anyone who is either starting or currently running a creative business like mine. Creating a community of people who love my products and/or want to follow my journey is something I am aiming for and to achieve this I am going to start being more present on social media and YouTube. I am writing this as of October 2025 so head to my socials and see how far I have come!
As well as expanding my product list I am also working on creating a wedding planning guide where I package all my wedding planning knowledge and expertise into a handy guide for people to use to plan their own wedding. If your reading this in the future it may already have been released!
Make sure you follow me on social media and subscribe to my YouTube channels to be part of this exciting adventure I am currently on.
All links can be found at the bottom of my website. I hope to see you all there and say Hi in the comments!
